Celebrate the holiday season Palmer-style at Colony Christmas 2025! Bring your family, friends, and neighbors for a weekend full of festive cheer, community spirit, and holiday traditions that make Palmer so special. This event is a chance to connect, have fun, and experience the magic of the season together.
Throughout the weekend, enjoy a wide range of activities for all ages. Take a leisurely hayride through the town, watch or participate in the Gingerbread Contest, compete in the Cornhole Tournament, and show off your baking skills in the Cookie Contests. Be sure to catch the spectacular Parade of Lights and end the evening with fireworks that light up the Alaskan sky. Multiple craft fairs will also be featured, offering unique gifts, holiday decorations, and treats from local artisans and businesses.

Colony Christmas 2025 - Registrations Now OPEN!
Vendor applications for Colony Christmas 2025 are now open! This year, the Chamber is hosting markets at two locations—the Train Depot and the Borough Gym—providing plenty of space for local businesses and artisans to showcase their products and spread holiday cheer. Applications for the Colony Christmas Parade are also open. Light up Downtown Palmer with your festive creativity; the more lights and decorations on your float or vehicle, the brighter and more magical the parade will be.
Businesses are invited to participate in the first-ever Colony Christmas Tree Decorating Contest, displaying their holiday spirit and creativity while the community votes for their favorite trees. Prizes will be awarded for first place, second place, and the most outlandish design. Show off your holiday drink skills in the second annual Colony Christmas Battle of the Beverages, competing with your best festive beverage for bragging rights and community votes. The contest runs from November 29 through December 14, with winners announced on December 15.
